Join us in Woodstock on Wednesday, October 7th, from 7-9 PM to discuss the surveillance network in Cherokee County, and what you can do about it.
Our speakers will share our research, paint a picture of the surveillance technology operating in Cherokee County, and tell you how you can get involved in the fight against mass surveillance at home.
- Steven Rogers is the only candidate running for the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners on a platform to take down Flock cameras. He will be MC'ing the event!
- North Georgia CAN's Tech Watch initiative is the dream playbook for protecting citizens from expansions of the surveillance state. If you're worried about Axon replacing Flock once we take it down, Tech Watch is the way to stop them.
- Natasha Noble has led a historic initiative on county transparency and surveillance accountability, and has stood up for justice against a system that has disenfranchised so many. Her story of injustice, like so many others, includes abuse of the Flock cameras.
Most importantly, the majority of the town hall will be an extensive Q&A, as we open the floor to any and all public comments, questions, ideas, and debate. The fight against mass surveillance isn't about just us; it's about every resident of Cherokee County, and every one of us deserves to have a say, to speak publicly, and to make our voice heard.
